The earth began to ROAR

I used to live with my grand parents in one of the remote areas of San Francisco. Grand pa had gone to the club , early this morning as he daily used to. Grandma had gone to attend one of her friend;s funeral. I was alone in our shabby, little cottage.

After doing the dishes , I was cleaning the kitchen slab, when suddenly the glasses hung upon the glass rack began to tremble. At first , I wasn't able to comprehend what was happening and  looked here and there in amazement. When my eyes caught the swinging chandelier hung on the roof, my mouth fell open.

At that very moment, I realised that the poorly- finished floor was also moving, I remember even some cracks. Awe-stricken by all this unusual scenario , putting my adrenaline to work and swallowing my tears was extremely difficult but was the utter need of the time.

I quickly mustered up my shattered senses and rushed to the rear door of my kitchen which opened into a wide tortuous street. While heading outside, I clearly remember how the roof and walls behind me were crumbling and crushing everything beneath them. Also , there were a couple of bumps and woobles with grinding and shuddering sounds, deafening me of the surroundings. The earthquake was a shake-shake shaker and had brought strong slapping. thunder clapping and rattling clamour along.

Finally,  I took some healthy inspirations in the open air as I was breathless. I was quite safe and sound but numb and dazed. It seemed I have been thrown into a world of debris and broken rocks.
My heart jumped to my throat when I realised many would be looking forward to my help. I could now clearly hear the screams and shouts everywhere but the view of the ground moving into ripples couldn't erase from my retina. Still i tried to save the humanity to which nature has shown its fury.

HOW EXPENSIVE SHOE SHOPPING BECAME !

It was a bright ,Wednesday night......
I was standing by a big,salient building....
Along with my sisters on my left and my right...
I have been there for shoe shopping....

Finally after roaming around for an hour,
A pair of fancy sandals appealed to my heart..
I ask the retailer to find me a size....
thank God , it fitted me outright....

Proudly walking through the glowing ,congested corridors ,
I felt myself quite lucky as my sisters were still on the hunt
we enter one shop, departed from another,
however they couldn't find any suitable pair

As the time passed ,I began to feel exhausted
I ask them to buy anything, but be quick
Then my younger sister asked, where was my shopping bag?
I looked down and saw my vacuous hands

I started to run into every shop ,we have visited
And forgot my foot pain that once existed
In one of the shoe store I asked at the counter,
With a positive reply the salesman nodded

At that moment I took a deep pull, my face shining
I experienced a wave of tension releasing from inside
After some more hunting, my sisters were done too
We stationed at the food court ,devoured the food and walked outside....

This fatiguing tour became one of my memoir
how careless i had been , anyone can easily claim
After getting refreshed , I sank into my cozy chair
and recalled how expensive today's shoe shopping became!
